Angelus-Drucke, Bern. 1965. First edition. 87, (1) pages. Small 4to (25 x 16 cm). Gray paper-covered boards decorated in blind, dust jacket with shorter tears. Small label on first fly leaf ”Studio [Gerald] Propper”. Loosely inserted two printed New Year Cards + a small card with ornaments. Signed by Max Caflisch, 1992. Text in German.

This fourth Angelus print, A Little Play with Ornaments, arose from an engagement with the typefaces and ornaments created by the French calligrapher Robert Granjon. According to the author, the Winterthur AG printing house carried out the typesetting in Monotype Garamond, Series 156, and the printing on English book paper supplied by Bucherer, Kurrus & Co. in Basel. The reproduction of the printing plates produced by Schwitter AG is with the kind permission of the British Museum in London. The binding was made by the Burkhardt bookbindery in Zurich. 1100 prints were produced.
